This week's top trending events on Forekast

Works like a charm

Work related holidays will be trending this week, starting with Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday. Then it’s Workers’ Memorial Day and Take Your Kid to Work Day on Thursday, followed by May Day (aka International Workers Day) on Sunday. Berkshire Hathaway will be holding its always interesting annual meeting on Saturday. And lastly, if you’re the Stanley Hudson of your office, get excited for Pretzel Day tomorrow. It’s all in a day’s work this week.

Face the music

For music lovers, Friday should be music to your ears. Stagecoach begins on Friday from Indio, California, featuring headliners Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Combs over the weekend. If you’re more of a Jazz fan, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival also begins Friday. Either way, it’s International Dance Day on Friday, so get your dancing shoes ready. To really top things off, Saturday is also International Jazz Day.

Fast picks

Three other events to take note of this week: Eid al-Fitr begins on Sunday, marking the end of Ramadan. Football fans can take in the NFL Draft on Thursday, with the Jags, Lions, and Texans holding the top three picks. Finally, if you’re picking a TV show to watch this week, fans of The Wire have a new show to watch tonight. For his latest HBO miniseries We Own This City, David Simon takes us back to the streets of Baltimore, the location for several of his previous series.
