We’ve never been more excited for a batch of events. We’re proudly dubbing this week Geek Week, kicking things off today with Harry Potter Day, followed on Tuesday by the 20th anniversary of the original Spider-Man movie. Then it’s Star Wars Day: May the Fourth be with you, followed by Revenge of the Fifth. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres on Thursday, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases on Friday. Round things out with National Space Day, International Astronomy Day, Free Comic Book Day, and Katniss Everdeen’s Birthday, and this Geek Week is one food the record books.

Weekend plans

Friday plans include thanking a nurse for National Nurses Day followed by looking to the skies and enjoying the Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower. This Saturday is a sports lover's dream. There’s playoff basketball everywhere, UFC 274: Oliveira vs. Gaethje, Canelo vs. Bivol, and “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports”: The Kentucky Derby. They actually stagger out pretty well timing-wise. Get to bed early, and make breakfast for mom - Sunday is Mother’s Day, and Eggo’s, though delicious, won’t cut it.
